Steve McDonald

Steve brings more than three decades of varied experience in public accounting, private industry, higher education, and consulting to his work in our Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) division. Steve is a founding principal of Contract Escrow, LLC, a boutique firm specializing in construction funds control to support construction sureties in their risk mitigation efforts. Steve has also been an audit manager for a large regional firm, the CFO at Suffolk Construction Company for over 15 years, and from 2002 through 2021, Steve was a college professor, first at Suffolk University and later at Stonehill College. While teaching, Steve also maintained an active consulting practice focusing on improving internal processes for firms in the construction industry.

With a strong emphasis on practical, hand-on learning, and an experience-driven knowledge of what all the various stakeholders are expecting, Steve’s focus is to help client accounting service professionals improve the way in which they provide their clients with financial information that is correct, concise, clear and compelling.

Steve holds a BSBA in Accounting & Finance and EMBA degrees from Northeastern University. He has been a licensed CPA in Massachusetts since 1985 and is a member of the MSCPA.
